When to Reset Your Settings

Resetting your settings can help if:

  • Helperbird features are not working as expected
  • You have changed many settings and want to start fresh
  • A feature seems stuck or is behaving incorrectly
  • You are troubleshooting an issue and support has asked you to reset

Important: Resetting will delete all your Helperbird data. This includes your customized settings, colors, font choices, and feature preferences, as well as your saved notes, highlights, and annotations. You will also be signed out, so have your subscription key or login details ready before you start. This action cannot be undone.

Step 1: Open Helperbird

Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. It looks like a small owl and is usually in the top-right corner of your browser.

This will open the Helperbird menu.

Step 2: Open the Options Menu

Click the gear icon in the top-left corner of the Helperbird menu.

This will open the Options menu.

Step 3: Find Reset All Data

In the Options menu, click Settings. The Helperbird settings page will open in a new tab.

Scroll down to the Data & Storage section and find the Reset all data row.

Click the red Delete button next to it.

Step 4: Confirm the Reset

A confirmation dialog will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete all your Helperbird data. This action cannot be undone.

Click Delete to proceed. Helperbird will clear all your data and reset every feature to its default state.

What Happens After a Reset

After resetting:

  • All features will be turned off and returned to their default values
  • Any custom colors, fonts, and sizes you set will be cleared
  • Keyboard shortcuts will be disabled (the default)
  • You will need to reconfigure any features you use regularly
  • Your saved notes, highlights, and annotations are deleted as well
  • You will be signed out — your subscription itself is not cancelled, but you will need to enter your subscription key or log in again to reactivate it

Tip: If you are resetting because of a specific problem, try turning features on one at a time after the reset to identify which one was causing the issue.

Helperbird is one of the most helpful tools I've ever used. It has so many great features that not many other apps or software have. The free version can be installed and stay forever on your browser. Other companies don't always give you access for free or give access for free forever. When you do get access to the Pro version or other paid plans, you expand your opportunity to read and stay focused better. One of the other great things about Helperbird is their support service. They have a video for every single feature that you can use. They are simple and helpful videos that make the learning process a lot easier. In addition, they have great live chat support. They are super nice and helpful. They always encourage people to give suggestions on how to improve Helperbird. Why is this important? It shows they really care about people with disabilities or people in general.

Amazing Extensions in chrome. I Installed in my parents computer, because my dad have a poor vision, due to bad eye surgery. this extension really helps to have able to manipulate the font and font size for more comfortable use instead of chrome zoom feature. Because the chrome zoom feature is its overly zoom will cause the page looking super weird.
