How to Add a Text Outline on Any Website

What Happened to Text Outline?
Text Outline (also called Text Stroke) drew a colored line around each letter on a web page. This feature has been removed from Helperbird.
If you look for Text Stroke in the Display section, you will not find it anymore. Nothing is wrong on your end. The feature is gone for everyone.
The good news: other Helperbird tools solve the same problem — text that is hard to tell apart from the background — and they often do it better.
What to Use Instead
- High Contrast — the closest match. It changes the text and background colors so words stand out sharply on any website. If Text Outline helped you see letters more clearly, start here.
- Dyslexia-friendly fonts — switch any website to fonts like OpenDyslexic or Lexend. Their clear, weighted letter shapes are easier to tell apart at a glance.
- Color overlays — place a soft tint over the whole page. This cuts glare and can make text feel calmer and clearer, much like a colored reading strip.
How to Make Text Stand Out Now
High Contrast covers the same need as Text Outline. Here is how to turn it on:
- Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar.
- Scroll down and open All Features.
- Open Display.
- Turn on High contrast and pick the style that reads best for you.
You can also mix tools. Try a dyslexia-friendly font together with High Contrast, or add a color overlay on bright pages.
Tip: Change one thing at a time. That way you can tell which setting helps you most.
