How to Manage Your Helperbird Billing

Open your Helperbird billing portal from the settings page or with an email code, then update your card, download an invoice or receipt, or cancel Pro.

On this page

What the Billing Portal Is

The billing portal is where the money side of Helperbird lives: your card, your past invoices and your plan. It is run by our payment provider, so Helperbird never sees or stores your card number.

Open billing from Helperbird when your account has a billing link. If you pay through our website, you can also open the web billing portal with an email code.

Looking for which plan you are on, or what your status means instead? See managing your Helperbird Pro subscription. This page is only about the portal.

Open it From Helperbird

In Helperbird Settings, find Billing and choose Open on the Manage row. Your account’s billing page opens in a new tab. This works on any supported browser when Helperbird has a billing link for your account, including accounts activated with a subscription key.

For a picture of the Billing section, how to reach it, and what its other rows do, see managing your Helperbird Pro subscription.

If you bought through the App Store, manage that subscription through Apple. A school or workplace subscription shows Managed by your organization instead of a personal billing button.

For a website purchase, you can also use the email-code route below if the account link is unavailable.

Open it With an Email Code

This route works on any browser for a subscription bought through the Helperbird website. App Store purchases use Apple’s subscription settings instead.

  1. Go to the Helperbird billing portal (opens in a new tab).
  2. Enter the email address you signed up with.
  3. Enter the code sent to that inbox.

Your billing portal opens. If the code does not arrive, ask for a new one and check your spam folder.

What You Can Do in the Portal

Refunds are not handled in the portal. Email support instead. See how to request a refund.

Download an Invoice or Receipt

Open the portal, then find the list of past payments, labelled Invoice history. Each row has a download link.

An invoice shows the date, the amount and the plan, which is what most schools and employers want for an expense claim. If you need your school or company name and address on it, add them to your billing information first, then download.

If You Cannot Find Open

The Manage row appears when Helperbird has a billing link for your account. Press Check in Billing to refresh your details. If that check shows a connection problem, your previous details stay visible until a check succeeds.

For a website purchase, use the email-code route above if the link is still unavailable. See why a subscription is not activating if Helperbird cannot find your account.

On a school or workplace account there is no personal portal to open. See what Helperbird Pro Unlimited is.
