Helperbird uses your browser's built-in sync feature to personalize your experience across devices. This guide will show you how to turn sync on or off in Chrome or Edge.

How to Turn On Sync in Chrome or Edge

Step 1: Open Browser Settings

Click the three dots in the upper-right corner of Chrome or Edge, then select Settings from the menu.

Step 2: Enable Sync

Scroll down to Sync and Google Services (Chrome) or Sync and Microsoft Services (Edge). Toggle the switch next to Sync to turn it on. If prompted, sign in to your Google or Microsoft account.

Step 3: Customize What Syncs

Click Advanced Sync Settings to choose what data you want to sync, such as bookmarks, passwords, and extensions.

Click Save when you're done.

You'll see Sync is on in your settings, confirming that sync is enabled.

Tip: For Edge users, these steps apply to Chromium-based Edge. If you're using an older version of Edge, the steps may differ slightly.

This chrome extension is absolutely amazing. I'm a Primary school teacher and it helps children with a broad range of needs. It's so easy to set up. I love the way it syncs across devices so set up is seamless across all the children's computers. The customizable features are a game changer for allowing children to enjoy reading and accessing the web in our school. The best application I have ever seen for school children. Looking forward to trying the iPad application soon.

This tool helps so many of our students at school - not only those students who have dyslexia, but students and adults who have other learning differences (and those who don't!). It helps ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed in their learning!
