How to Summarize Text on Any Website with Helperbird

What is Summarize?

The Summarize feature takes long blocks of text and turns them into short, easy-to-read summaries. Instead of reading an entire article or page, you can get the key points in just a few sentences.

Who is This For?

This feature is helpful for:

• Students who need to quickly understand long articles or textbook passages
• Researchers who want to scan content faster
• Anyone who finds long text overwhelming or difficult to process
• People with ADHD or reading difficulties who benefit from shorter text
• Anyone who wants to save time while browsing

Step 1: Open Helperbird

Click the Helperbird icon in your browser toolbar. It looks like a small owl and is usually in the top-right corner of your browser.

This will open the Helperbird menu.

Step 2: Select Text on a Webpage

Go to any webpage and use your mouse to highlight the text you want to summarize. Click and drag to select a paragraph, section, or the full article.

Step 3: Summarize the Text

With your text selected, open the Helperbird menu and choose Summarize. Click the Summarize button in the panel that appears, and Helperbird will process the selected text and generate a shorter version. You can also paste text directly into the Summarize panel.

If you are reading a PDF in Helperbird's PDF reader, you can find Summarize in the Tools dropdown at the top of the page.

Step 4: Read the Summary

A panel will appear showing your summarized text. The summary captures the key points from the original content in a shorter, more digestible format.

You can copy the summary to your clipboard or close the panel when you are done.
